Tooth Bonding What to Expect
Dental bonding is a quick and typically painless procedure that can be completed in just one visit to Maitland Ave Smile Co in Altamonte Springs, FL.
This process is similar to getting a tooth filling. We will first numb your mouth. After your mouth is numb, we will begin the procedure by lightly etching the surface of the tooth. This will create a rough surface for the bonding material to securely adhere. Next, we will color match the composite resin to ensure a natural-looking end result. Once the ideal color is determined, we will carefully sculpt the composite resin on to the affected tooth. Your dentist will take careful measures shaping and molding it until we reach the desired appearance. Before fully curing, we will make sure your bite fits comfortably.
Once the ideal look is achieved, we will use a special UV light to activate the hardening process. After composite is set into place, we will lightly polish the tooth for a beautiful, natural finish.
