Why Do I Have Sensitive Teeth?

Do you find your teeth are sensitive to hot and cold foods or drinks? Maybe your gums often feel sore and bleed when you brush or floss your teeth. gum disease. Also known as periodontitis, gum disease is a bacterial infection that affects the health of teeth and gums. In advanced cases, periodontal disease will cause bacteria to form above and below the gum line, often causing the gums to recede and pull away from the teeth. Deep pockets may form around the teeth and can cause tooth loss. Periodontal disease may also cause an increased risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke, heart attack, diabetes and other severe health concerns.

Drs. Clay MillerKirk Solberg, and Mark Willams offer periodontal therapy solutions for patients in every stage of gum disease. When gums are inflamed during the earliest stage of periodontal disease, our dental team may be able to eliminate the infection with routine dental cleanings.
